Lodge of Fidelity Pool Tournament

Historically the Freemason’s mantra has been ‘brotherly love, relief and truth’. It can be translated into a more modern definition of ‘Personal Integrity, Friendship, Mutual Respect and Charitable Giving’.

The Freemasons is simply a fraternal society that offers the opportunity to expand your circle of friends as well as community fundraising and personal self development. And Thursday 25th August was one of those nights where Freemasonry was simply about enjoying the friendship of others.

Thursday 25th August was the Lodge of Fidelity’s annual James Sanderson Memorial Pool Tournament at the Leeds Northern Snooker Centre. The Lodge of Dawn had two representatives in the competition, where teams of two were be picked randomly out of a hat on the night, and competition commenced.

As expected, competition was fierce and, following a break for food (well we have to eat….) a final was set up, despite the protestations of the author and his team mate who had only lost one game (….no I’m not bitter….). The Lodge of Dawn is delighted to announce that one of the winning pair was our very own Bro. Sam Fryer, pictured below.

The event was such a success that a proposed Lodge of Dawn Annual Pool Tournament is in planning for the forthcoming year.

Below you will see a series of photos taken on the night.
