April’s ceremony was the Lodge of Dawn’s annual ‘Past Masters Night’, when previous masters of the lodge (known as ‘Past Masters’) take all of the ceremonial offices and deliver all of the ritual. In total 11 Past Masters of, and in, the lodge took part. See below.
The ceremony was a Third Degree ceremony when the candidate is raised to the degree of a Master Mason. However, this one was slightly different. Whilst Bro. Carlos Reed has become and integral and involved part of the lodge, the ceremony was performed on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Chile.
In addition to over £220 being raised in the raffle, with prizes including a bottle of Chilean spirit donated by Bro. Carlos, brethren also donated food and monies for the on-going collection for the foodbank ‘Lets Eat’, that the lodge is supporting, run by Chapeltown’s CFYDC.
